Today was our first day working at Comet House. The kids were off from school in celebration of Independence Day, so we had lots of helpers. We began the day with a prayer.
The children, aged five to twelve, all grabbed paint brushes and made quick work of the task of painting the whole house. Ceiling tiles will be installed after we finish painting. Bookshelves and cubbies for the boys clothes were also built today.
While we all painted, Fredrick's mother cooked lunch for all. The boys call her Sho-Sho, which means grandmother. She told us today that taking care of this houseful of little boys is the work God has called her to do.
Tomorrow - more painting, hanging curtains and outfitting the boys rooms with new sheets for their bunk beds.

Keep the posts coming. Enjoy seeing all God's work 'right before my eyes'. Much love to all, Irene
